Inspiring a Generation to Protect
Our Changing Planet
Our world is changing at an alarming rate, with the devastating effects of climate change already apparent. There was a recognised gap in the market for resources that effectively helped children generate empathy for our natural world and understand how to protect.
The critical need was to nurture a future generation of “planet custodians” by helping them discover our planet and learn how to safeguard it from an early age.
This presented a significant challenge: how to transform complex environmental issues and scientific discoveries into accessible, fun, and empowering content that would resonate with children aged 7-12, and their families, across multiple platforms

Our Approach: A Holistic,
Multi-Platform Educational Strategy
Creature & Co.’s in-house editorial team produces two editions of National Geographic Kids magazine each month: one for the UK/Ireland and another for Australia/New Zealand markets. The magazines are designed to be fun, educational, and inspirational, covering diverse topics about the world’s animals, plants, people, and places.
Print Magazines
Two monthly editions (UK/Ireland, Australia/New Zealand) are produced, packed with fun, educational, and inspirational content covering diverse global topics and history. They address “big issues” like climate change with hopeful solutions, featuring puzzles, competitions, and “Wow!” facts.
The UK edition is 100% recycled paper and completely plastic-free, including packaging and in-house designed covermounts.
Partnerships with brands like Tate Modern and charities such as PDSA are also formed.
