Whistleblower Policy

Purpose 

This policy ensures that all employees, contractors, and stakeholders can report suspected unethical, illegal, or harmful behaviour in confidence and without fear of retaliation. It aligns with our commitment as a Certified B Corporation to transparency, social and environmental responsibility, and continuous improvement.

 

Scope 

This policy applies to: 

  • All employees 
  • Contractors and freelancers 
  • Interns 
  • Clients 
  • Suppliers or other third parties
  1. What Can Be Reported
    Concerns may include (but are not limited to):
  • Greenwashing or misleading environmental/social claims 
  • Fraud, corruption, or financial misconduct 
  • Unethical business practices or client activities 
  • Violations of environmental, labour, or human rights standards 
  • Actions that undermine the company’s mission to create family-first content 
  • Retaliation against individuals who report issues in good faith 
  1. Reporting Process
    We encourage all individuals to speak up if they witness or suspect unethical behaviour. You can report concerns through any of the following steps: 

Option 1: Internal Reporting 

Choose whichever method feels safest and most appropriate: 

 

Directly to your manager or supervisor 

 

Submit a grievance via this form (with the option of remaining anonymous)

All reports will be treated confidentially and investigated appropriately. You may remain anonymous, although providing your name can help us follow up more effectively. 

 

 

 

 

 

Option 2: Escalation Within the Company 

If you believe your concern was not addressed appropriately, or you are uncomfortable raising it internally, you may escalate directly to:

Option 3. Escalation to B Lab UK 

If internal mechanisms are exhausted or you believe the issue has broader ethical implications for our B Corp status, you may escalate the matter to B Lab Global directly. 

 

How to Report to B Lab UK: 

 

Follow the B Lab UK complaints process  

 

B Lab handles concerns about companies that may be acting inconsistently with the B Corp Declaration of Interdependence and Standards. 

 

4. Internal Investigation and Resolution 

 

Step 1 – Filing: Concern is submitted via one of the channels.   

 

Step 2 – Acknowledgment: If the concern wasn’t submitted anonymously, the Grievance Officer will confirm receipt within 10 working days. 

 

Step 3 – Assess the Concern: The Grievance Officer screens and assigns the case. 

 

Step 4 – Investigation: Appoint an appropriate investigator and gather facts through meetings, interviews, and documents. 

 

Step 5 – Resolution: Reach conclusions and decide actions e.g. disciplinary action, policy changes, training, escalation etc.  

 

Step 6 – Prevent Retaliation: Monitor closely to ensure the whistleblower is not treated unfairly or victimised.  

 

Step 7 – Closure: Case closed in grievance log. 

 

5. Protection from Retaliation 

We strictly prohibit retaliation against anyone who: 

 

Reports a concern in good faith 

 

Participates in an investigation 

 

Refuses to participate in unethical conduct 

 

Any employee found to be retaliating against a whistleblower will face disciplinary action, up to and including termination. 

 

 

6. Policy Review 

This policy will be reviewed annually, or sooner if required by legal, ethical, or operational changes.
